3:04 PM: Georgetown 46, Temple 45 (FINAL)

Clutch bucket by Georgetown, and a great defensive play on the jump ball, but the most incredible part of this game is that Temple almost won a game in which they shot:

3-23 from three-point range
6-13 from the free throw line
18-57 on two pointers

Wow.

Let's move on to game #10, and the great American pastime of rooting against Duke.

  1. i started watching this game exactly 3 minutes ago, and i already saw a flop by a white guy. they then cut to coach K (i honestly can't spell his last name) and his terrible sprayed on hair. sigh...

  4. i gotta say, when i first read through this blog, there were no comments by anyone. i leave for a few hours, and there appear to be about 3 comments average on every post. even after i leave, the pacific time zone still fucks me.

also, in keeping with jerry, here are my teams to hate:
    1. michigan
    2. duke
    3. usc
    4. UNC
    5. the packers
    6. anything from philadelphia (sorry powers, but you ruined me on all philly sports, though desean jackson is killing on my fantasy team)
    7. the patriots
    8. the lions (it's a love/hate relationship)
    9. anything matt millen touches
    10. baseball in general

and that's why i'm a shoe-in... for hater of the yeauh...

  5. It's alright, I can understand how knowing me would lead to hating an entire city, I'm just surprised baseball is so low on your list.

  6. As a professed wings fan don't the Avalanche have to be in your top ten. Also you get to put Millen and the lions in I get to put in Sterling and the Clippers.

    8. SD Chargers (Really hate them, don't know why)

  8. baseball should probably be higher, but now that it's over for awhile (what, like four weeks, right?) the urge to kill is falling. and i root only casually for the wings. when i really liked them their main competition was the devils. maybe this started my initial loathing of jersey. sorry jon, seems the deck was stacked against you.

  9. If I had more time and I thought there was enough space I'd make a list of college basketball teams that I love, but for now I'm about to get out of the office, go have a beer and enjoy the end of Duke's victory...later suckers

  11. Sports figures/teams I love to hate in no particular order:

    Anderson Varejao
    Derek Fisher
Dusty Baker, for fucking pitching Dave Veres, the 12th best picture on the roster, in Game 7 of the 2003 NLCS back when I cared about baseball.
    Jim Boylan
    Jim Calhoun
    Bill Parcells
The 90s Knicks (i guess players/coaches are too transient for me to really hate teams too much anymore)
Every fucking white guy on the 87-91 Minnesota Twins.
Lou Holtz and Notre Dame football.
    Digger Phelps
